Children

This course is designed to meet the special needs of children aged 10-12 years. The course provides an important backup for those studying French in schools. The teaching method is highly interactive and blends play and fun along with lessons. Students learn the language through poems, songs and theatre.

Classes are held once a week, on Saturdays for two hours. Generally, at the end of each session, students put up a variety show in French, a summation of all they've learnt during their course. An internal assessment takes place at the end of each session and an attestation is awarded on successful completion of entire course. Children interested in pursuing their French may enrol for the next level of children's classes. In many cases they may merge with an adolescent group (based on their level) or finally join the mainstream courses.

Adolescents

This course, like the children's course, caters to the specific needs of teenagers. The method of teaching is also communicative in nature and the focus is more on play and song and theatre. This course is open to students aged 13-16 years.

Classes are held twice a week, for two hours each. At the end of the session, the students put up a variety show along with the children. An internal assessment takes place at the end of each session and attestations are awarded on successful completion of the complete course. A student may move to the next level and eventually merge with the standard French courses, depending on his/her level.

Both, the children's courses and those for teenagers do not follow the textbook adopted in many schools. Special books are available for these courses.
