The Crash course

The fastest way to learn French at the AFD is the crash course that allows one to complete two semesters in a period of 2 months. It is designed to cater to the needs of persons who wish to begin the language at a faster pace, because they either can afford to invest large chunks of time per day/week, but do not have adequate time over a longer period. This course is therefore suitable for housewives, students with some exposure in French already or those who need to get some French knowledge in a short span of two months.

Spread over 2.5 months, the crash course is conducted five days in a week (Monday to Friday), each class comprising 2 hours each.

This course is available in January, March, August and October. A crash course is also offered in June-July (2 months). A one-month crash course is available in July, essentially to cater to those students who were not able to appear in or clear their examinations in May.

Examinations are held at the end of each semester in March, May, July, October and in December. A Certificate of Elementary French (CFE) is granted after successful completion of this course. One can sign up for the next level which can be done by any other package offered, since the crash course is available only at the beginners level.

The crash course method of learning the language allows one access to 135 hours of French language classes.
This option is not available during weekends.
