General French specialised courses workshops tailormade courses The four levels in French at the AFD comprise two semesters each. Each semester can be completed in a minimum period of one month and a maximum of five months. How soon you will complete a particular semester or level will depend on the number of hours invested per week i.e. the more number of hours invested each week, the lesser the time taken. We offer you several packages to attempt the course, these help you decide your own pace of learning. The most suitable course for you will depend on your current situation viz. time at your disposal, place of residence, reason for learning French, existent level in the language, whether working or non-working, and your own pace of learning. You can choose from the packages like the extended, intensive, half-intensive, crash, professional, and children's courses. An orientation test is offered to students who already have a certain
level in French. Through this test, a teacher is able to suggest to the
applicant the next best level to continue from. Often students are advised
to commence a course from the beginning if the test result is not satisfactory. |
