AFD
- An Indo-French cultural centre
Learning the language of a country is one step towards understanding its
culture, actual cultural interaction is another thing; in fact, it is
also the best way to reinforce what happens in the classrooms. The Alliance
Française de Delhi has been accredited to be one of the most vibrant and
active foreign culture centres in New Delhi .Be it seminars or conferences,
music or dance, theatre or puppet theatre, exhibitions or art workshops,
the Alliance has dabbled in it all and effectively at that, often in collaboration
with our cultural partners such as the Embassy of France and the Indian
Council for Cultural Relations. All cultural programmes organised by the
AFD are accessible to students and members. Normally passes/invitations
are available for students at the Front Desk counter for most events.
In case of ticketed performances too, either discounts are offered or
a limited number of free passes are distributed on a first-come-first-served
basis. All cultural programmes organised by the institution are announced
in the AGENDA published once every 2 months. Students and public can pick
copies of the same from the Front Desk.
