I joined AF and it has been a sort of Renaissance since then. The cordial and amiable environs of AF are suitable for intellectual development of a person. In addition to it the various events that are organized by AF are basically aimed to bring the best out of the students. Painting Exhibitions, Dancing Workshops, Cuisine Classes, Film Festivals, Theatre Plays and spectacles or the Annual Fete de la Musique make it a happening place. And for some if this is a heavy dose of artistic stuff, there is lighter side to AF. Dance Parties, Picnics, Literary Competitions, Game Shows, Plays like "Pas Juste Une Piece", Fashion Shows and our French version of Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by our very own M. Le Directeur……..all these events make it a worthwhile place to be in. I have had the fortune of being a part of all this and believe me I have enjoyed every moment of this. I am glad I have beautiful memories to cherish. I was told that this institute teaches French and indeed how wrong it is. It is more than a language-teaching institute. It teaches us how to live, live for better, live for tomorrow, it teaches us how we are different and how we are alike, it teaches us that the distances have no significance in human life if we decide to bridge them. And I say it with lot of pride that I am a part of an institution which is carrying out it's jobs to perfection. Felicitations to the Director and his entire team for carrying out the splendid job. 		Alliance Française for me is not only an Institution, it is an experience. I had joined Alliance Française de Chandigarh during my vacations. It has been two years now and there has been no looking back. I am doing my masters in English. Learning French has given me an invaluable insight into the linguistic structure and history of the English language itself. Being one of the ancient languages French has helped me to understand the development of various languages. The most enriching part of studying at Alliance Française is that one gets a chance to be associated with various kinds of activities. Weather it is a film festival, a painting exhibition, a music concert, book fair… you name it and it is there For me, its not just learning the French language. It is about knowing the French culture, it is about learning the language of the great masters of literature, it is about being a part of a culturally happening place..
