DELF – DALF

DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify French language proficiency of foreign students. The DELF and DALF qualifications are consistent with the international standards for test development (www.alte.org) the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) (www.coe.int). DALF C1

Anyone who is not a native French-speaker and who would like his/her French skills to be recognized for personal or professional purposes can take the exams. These diplomas are also recognized by some French Universities and Grandes Écoles as meeting French language requirements for entry. Alliance Francaise du Bengale is one of the 900 approved examination centres for DELF / DALF in 154 countries, including France. AFB is also the only center in Kolkata to provide DELF / DALF exams.
