Alliance françaises french ministry DIPLOMAS OF THE FRENCH MINISTRY Three levels of competence in French as a foreign language : - DELF level 1: certifies basic proficiency in French; the ability to communicate in French in all day-to-day situations. -DELF level 2: a deepening of these skills; it includes a general knowledge of civilization and the first elements of specialized French in the area chosen by the candidate. -DALF corresponds to level of achievement in French suitable for university study. The successful DALF student is exempt from language entry tests in all French universities. Registration requirements Registration is open to everybody (except French nationals). There is no pre-requisite for registration to DELF level 1, no specific training neither competence is required. It is necessary to have passed DELF level 1 for registration to DELF level 2; and it is necessary to have passed DELF level 1 and 2 to register for DALF. Nevertheless, the opportunity is offered to take a level test to register directly for DELF level 2 or for DALF. Registration is conducted in every exam centre. The exam centres will inform you about the fees for each credit (fixed by the Embassy of France in India), about the calendar of the exams and about the venue.more>> |
