Alliance françaises french ministry chamber of commerce Certificat pratique de traduction CPT The C.P.T., a diploma issued by the Alliance Française de Paris, is designed to test an initial language skill in a professional context. It is divided into 4 parts: Written comprehension and production: - Translation into French of an authentic professional letter of 170 to 200 words, - Translation of a press article into English, - Summary written in French of an English press article of 600 to 700 words (the summary is to be 1/3 of the article). Oral comprehension and production: - Oral translation in French of an authentic letter or press article (1 page) - Oral translation in English of : - 3 excerpts of an authentic letter if the previous test was on a press article, - or of 2 excerpts of a press article if the previous test was on a letter. . <<back |
